When I was 10 years old, I did not understand why my parents made me take chess lessons. Why is it so important to be able to play that game?
Looking back, it was one of the most educational out-of-school activities I have done. It taught me a different way of thinking, to apply a strategic method, to look ahead for an attack that may come from an unexpected angle, to switch quickly and think creatively. Also, if you see a good move, look for a better one.

To win, you have to make a move. Knowing which move to make comes with insight and knowledge and by learning the lessons along the way. If a mistake is made, recover quickly and well. Making mistakes is human after all.
I am talking about strategy. Strategy is the art of making future-oriented choices and then implementing them successfully. Strategy is the fundament of everything you want to develop. To this day, I apply visual strategy in my work for my clients.
Oh and the black queen is my favourite. They say if you lose your queen, you probably lose the game.
